Let us explain about Visa Support and Registration services:

Every traveller must have a visa for entry to Uzbekistan before arrival. You will be refused entry without a visa. Generally a visa should be obtained at an Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad. But in some cases a visa can be obtained at the airport of Tashkent. Only if you reside in a country that does not have an Uzbek embassy or Consulate.

To apply for a visa foreign nationals need a visa support from a local organization (like "Al-Shayan" Travel Agency. )

To place an order for a visa support of our company, please fill in our Visa form. Certainly you can pass to us information by any other way. But if you fill in our form all-important details likely will not miss.

After we receive complete information, a workweek will pass before we will be able to send a visa telex to you. All this period of time the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tashkent (MFA) will carefully reread you personal data. Sometimes it is happen that MFA denies an application for a visa without any explanations. But it is not really common.

When MFA approves someone's visit they send a special kind of notification to the Embassy or Consulate of Uzbekistan in that exactly country where a traveler will obtain the visa. This notification has a unique reference number. When we get this number from MFA, it's a sure thing. We place the number to that send together with a tourist voucher to traveler via e-mail. Right away after receiving of you can apply for the visa from appropriate Embassy or Consulate of Uzbekistan.

Generally the process of visa obtaining from Embassy / Consulate takes 1-3 working days. You will be asked to fill in a special questionnaire in the Embassy, to submit the passport, a photo and an appropriate Consular visa fee.

We advise you to not purchase tickets until you have obtained your visa. You can just book it but not to buy.

How to order a visa support:

1. Send us a copy of your passport plus a certificate of employment. That's all right if a certificate is written in free style. It should be few words (preferable in English) just to confirm that you work on certain position in a certain place. The certificate is demanded even if you plan to stay in Uzbekistan only for a few days as a tourist.

2. On the basis of information provided by you, we prepare a visa application letter to be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Tashkent. MFA examines our application letter during 5-7 days before approves or sometimes denies it.

You should not order in more than one travel agency at the same time as MFA could be confused and therefore most likely would deny your visit. When MFA approves someone's visit they send a special kind of notification to the Embassy or Consulate of Uzbekistan in that exactly country where a traveler will obtain the visa. This notification has a unique reference number(telex).

We send no information directly to an Embassy or Consulate. The reference number received from MFA we place to to be e-mailed or faxed together with a tourist voucher to you.

3. Right away after receiving of you can apply for the visa from appropriate Embassy or Consulate of Uzbekistan. Generally the process of visa obtaining from Embassy / Consulate takes 1-3 working days. Additional consular fees are also paid at the Embassy / Consulate with your visa application, it may cost about US$40 - $250 depending on the length of your stay in the country, quantity of entries / exits and your nationality. You will be asked to fill in a special questionnaire (available on www.uzbekconsulny.org), submit a photo and our visa support.

Where to obtain Uzbekistan Visa?

You can obtain a visa in all places where only Uzbekistan Embassies / Consulates exist. You must foresee where visa will be obtained. E.g. you cannot obtain the visa in Islamabad if Washington, DC is indicated in visa support as a place of the visa obtaining. If you decide to change a place where visa should be obtained then 'Al-Shayan' has to apply to MFA once again, then send you a new visa telex.

REGISTRATION OF A STAY IN UZBEKISTAN

Registration is essential and unavoidable. To enjoy your stay, follow the rules and make sure you are registered.

The general rule is you must be registered within 72 hours of entering the country.
You may not stay without registration, as this is illegal! If you leave the country before termination of 72 hours you are free of registration.

It is all right to stay in a hotel as well as in a private house with any type of visa. If you stay in a legal hotel you will be registered automatically and free of charge. You pay only hotel charge, not for registration. The hotel provides you with a registration card. Do not lose this card. You must keep this and present at passport control when leaving the country.

If you stay in someone's private house with your friends or relatives then you should be registered via Local Police Department of Registration.
Those who issue a Letter Of Invitation for you must care about your registration, This service of “Al-Shayan tourism” is chargeable.

After filling in necessary forms and paying applicable fees, your passport will be left at that Police office for a few days, as it demands a registration process. Keep copy of your passport (make copy of page with an entry visa too) with you at all times.

It would be better if an organization (like Our one) that would invited you into the country will make a written note to the copy of your passport which indicates passport itself for registration. Please note a seal must authenticate any legal notification like this in Uzbekistan. So, with the copy of your passport full of notes sealed with an excellent blue seal you can feel safe to walk.

Finally they will put in your passport another stamp that is a residence registration with the address of your place of stay. Give an attention to the expiry date of a residence registration.

Even if you do not need visa support for entry, if you have private visa, multiple entry visa, moved to another place of stay and so on, you must be registered or re-registered. We can assist you in this matter.
